CHRISTMAS GIFTS 2015 - RUBY CITY
Ishimaru is a big sweetie and has included inspiring letters with each of his gifts, so have fun with that.
Kakyoin: An assortment of some interesting rocks he's collected, including one or two split geodes and a very tiny ruby, some paintbrushes, and an easel. He likes to encourage art that makes people think, and he has faith that Kakyoin will do just that.
Dear Noriaki-kun -
To be quite honest...aside from one other person, you've changed my life more than anyone else I've ever met. You helped me see new possibilities countless times before - sometimes literally! During the time we've known each other, I think that both you and I have changed. I'd like to think that we can think back on this and acknowledge that change as one for the better. I'm ready to move forward into the future, no matter what happens. This city is our home. Through all the Rumor Wars, through all the difficulties you and I face...I hope we can face them together.
You possess one of the stronger spirits I've ever seen. In the coming year, I hope that you and I will become even stronger.
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru >:) (The greater-than symbol represents my eyebrows!)
Jotaro: A bottle of polish (for shoes and the like, not for nails), a keychain with a star pendant, and...a fundoshi. That last gift is left up to interpretation.
Dear Jotaro-kun -
I hope you and Kakyoin-kun are doing well! Your bond of friendship seems to have strengthened greatly during your time here. I may not say it very often, but...even if your fashion sense is outrageous and your behavior oftentimes resembling that of a delinquent, I appreciate your dedication. It is something I see infrequently in those like you, but the last person I can recall who possessed the same qualities was one of the best friends I ever knew. Work hard towards your goals, and you can achieve any type of success you desire! Stay as close to the path of justice as you can, and everything will become clear in time!
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Giorno: A long red scarf and a daily planner that's illustrated with a monogrammed ladybug on the corner of each page.
Dear Giorno-kun -
I realize we have not had the opportunity to speak very often, but I have enjoyed our interactions in the past! I realize you are living with Jotaro and Kakyoin now. So long as you keep up your work, your new year will be filled with opportunity. I hope to see you and Gold Experience-kun soon once again!
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Afonso: Books on aeronautics, various hand-to-hand fighting techniques, and a potted plant.
Dear Afonso-kun -
You've come to my aid when I needed it most. Whatever happens in your future, I want you to know that I support whatever you do. If my destiny shifted in any way, I know you would do the same for me! If you ever need someone who can help you train or study, or if you want to talk at any time, I'll be open to you no matter the circumstances.
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Diarmuid: A leather-bound diary, a set of carving knives, and a neckerchief for Shizuo.
Dear Diarmuid-sensei -
I know this past year has been difficult for you especially. I...want to remind you that I meant every word I said when we met again that evening. You and the inhabitants of Spiral are like family to me, truly. That isn't something I say lightly, in any situation. When I was unsure how to move forward, you listened to everything I had to say, even when I was afraid it would be pointless. Even the most difficult storms can be weathered with others by your side. I hope yours passes as soon as it can. Whenever it does, I'll still be standing by your side.
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Roman: A book full of street chalk drawings - some that look 3D, some that are great artistic marvels, and some that are more like the kind Roman enjoys, simple doodles or scribbles on sidewalks. They're all just as good.
Dear Roman-kun -
I hope you are doing well! Life can pose its challenges all too often, but as long as you plant your feet firmly on the ground, you will not succumb to them. You've helped me learn how to stand firmer against even the strongest storms. I can't thank you enough for that. Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru
JW: A fresh set of baking sheets, including muffin tins and bread pans, all polished spick-and span.
Dear JW-kun -
Even if our initial meeting was hardly under the best circumstances, when I was at my lowest...you showed me forgiveness. Your kindness and your friendship has been one of my saving graces - from the perils of the Rumor Wars, from angry seagulls, and from myself. I hope I am able to say that I have done my fair share of kindness to you as well! Without you, I wouldn't have made it nearly as far as I have in the past year. No matter what happens, I know that you'll always be there to support me if I need it. I'll do my best for you.
- Kiyotaka Ishimaru
Vergil: A framed copy of The Purpose of Kendo, written in both the original Japanese and in an English translation. "To mold the mind and body, to cultivate a vigorous spirit, and through correct and rigid training, to strive for improvement in the art of Kendo. To hold in esteem human courtesy and honor, to associate with others with sincerity, and to forever pursue the cultivation of oneself. This will make one be able: to love his/her country and society, to contribute to the development of culture, and to promote peace and prosperity among all peoples."
Dear Vergil-kun -
I've been honored to have someone of your caliber looking out for me. If it was not for you, I am not sure I would have made nearly as far as I did. I wish you prosperity in the coming year, and hope that others bestow the same kindness upon you as you did to me!
